Kupwara: The Kupwara district administration organized day-long seminar -cum –workshop on linking of Annual District Credit Plan(ADCP) with District Development Plan (DDP) for 2018-19. During the seminar, a threadbare discussion was held which led to many valuable inputs for linking the annual credit plan with district development plan.
The meeting was informed that district Kupwara has fixed target of Rs.922 cr for ADCP for 2018-19, and Rs 600 cr have been earmarked under different schemes for implementation. Under the Horticulture activities, adoption of High-Density Plantation promotion, cold storage units, promotion of agricultural activities, extension, training and availability of high yielded improved seeds inputs for the farming community, and promotion of sheep extension units were mainly identified for the funding under converged aspect.
It was resolved that the district has great potential for credit flow in sheep, animal husbandry, Agriculture, Horticulture, small industries sectors. and the concerned officers were asked to provide inputs on the activities that shall be covered under the proposed converged sources from District Plan and Annual Credit Plan resources.
