Ramban: Khadi and Village Industries Board (KVIB) Ramban organized an awareness campaign on PMEGP (Prime Minister Employment Generation Program), at Gool in association with DIC Ramban. The event was presided over by Sub-Divisional Magistrate (SDM) Gool Pankaj Bagotra.
Camp was organized to disseminate information to the participants about the role of J&K KVIB towards rural industrialization through establishment of micro-enterprises by duly availing finance under PMEGP and other government sponsored self employment schemes.
On the occasion, District Officer KVIB Ramban Tilak Raj highlighted the government schemes being implemented by KVIB in the state.
SDM advised the unemployed youth of the area to take the maximum benefits of the government schemes being implemented by the board. General Manager DIC Ramban, Bashir –ul- hassan gave a detailed presentation regarding different schemes of DIC, registration of units in addition to the PMEGP which is also being implemented by DICs.
Tehsildar Gool Ashraf Parvaiz, Staff of J&K KVIB and DIC Ramban and large number of people of the area participated in camp.
