LC adjourned after walkout by members over poor coverage to Oppn members

Jammu/Feb,7 :The Legislative council was adjourned after a pandemonium over the government courage for the opposition members.
The opposition members Sajad Ahmad Kichloo (NC), Ghulam Nabi Monga (Congress) and several others raised the issue and went into the well of the house to demand a statement of clarification from the government. The opposition members were later joined by even the members of the ruling PDP-BJP combine who alleged that the state Information department is not giving due coverage to the opposition members. The members of both the ruling PDP-BJP combine and opposition parties walked out of the house in protest despite an assurance from the chairman legislative council Haji Inayat Ali that Director Information would be summoned for an assurance on due coverage to opposition members in the house itself. After the walkout chairman council Haji Inayat Ali adjourned the house.
After the adjournment, the chairman council tried to pacify the members but they insisted on the summoning of Director Information to the house for on spot explanation.
