Budgam: Deputy Commissioner Budgam Mohammad Harun Malik Monday flagged off a group of 25 farmers on 7-day exposure- cum- training tour to Haryana and Punjab from DC office Budgam.
The tour has been organized by the Agricultural Department under centrally sponsored scheme Agriculture Technology Management Agency (ATMA).
During the tour, the farmers would visit different agricultural universities, laborites and farms in Kernal, Ludhiana and Jammu and would undergo training in latest innovative agricultural technologies for progressive farming.
Sharing details of the tour, Chief Agricultural Officer Budgam Shabir Ahmad Allaqaband said the aim was to educate farmers about the latest innovations and technologies used by the farmers in other states.
