Ganderbal: Additional District Commissioner Ganderbal, N.A Baba Monday flagged-off a group of 17 progressive fish farmers of the district for exposure visit under the Agriculture Technology Management Agency (ATMA) scheme.AD Fisheries Ganderbal was also present on the occasion.
Speaking on the occasion, ADC Ganderbal urged the farmers to take full advantage of the tour by interacting with their counterparts and experts to get the latest technological know-how about new trends in the field.
During the tour, the farmers will visit Trout Fish Farm Laribal Dachigam and Trout Farm Harwan. They will be imparted training and demo regarding the artificial breeding of Rainbow trout and brown trout. They will also learn about different developmental stages of the Trout, their feeding habits and the other culture practices to boost the production.
AD Fisheries impressed upon the farmers to get themselves well acquainted with the skills, knowledge and techniques for boosting the productivity in the fish farming sector.
