Tral: Three Para-military troopers and two civilians were injured after militants hurled a grenade on a patrolling party at Batagund Crossing in Tral town of South Kashmir’s Pulwama district.
Sources said that CRPF patrolling party was targeted when it was passing through the area.
The wounded troopers and the civilians have been shifted to hospital. The two civilians were identified as Hilal Ahmed and Bilal Ahmed.
A police official said that two troopers and two civilians suffered minor injuries.
The area was cordoned off till the reports last came in.
Shopian killings: Lawyers take out march in Srinagar
A group of lawyers Saturday took out a march in protest against the recent killings of three civilians in firing by army in Shopian district, police said.
The lawyers assembled outside the court complex here and took out the march, a police official said. A spokesman of the Jammu and Kashmir High Court Bar Association expressed concern over the killings in Shopian last week and the “war-like situation” along the border.
“The Bar Association, while condemning the killings, demands immediate arrest of the guilty Army officials,” the spokesman said.
