Jammu: Minister of State for Social Welfare, Asiea Naqash informed the House that there are 4118 cases pending for clearance under Integrated Social Security (ISS) scheme in Habbakadal constituency for the last two years, which include Old Age Pension (OAP) 1400, Women in Distress (WID) 1300, Physically Challenged Persons (PCP) 1000, IGNOAPS 205 and NFBS 213.
Replying to a question by Shamim Firdous, the Minister said to deal with this pendency, the proposal of the department to sanction 40000 new cases in the first instance is under the consideration of Finance Department.
Mr Mubarak Gul raised supplementary to the main question and urged the government to pay focused attention towards the issue.
