Srinagar: Over a dozen animals were charred to death in a devastating fire incident at Central Kashmir’s Ganderbal district.
Reports said that a Government Cow Shed belonging to Frozen Siman Project at Ranbir Bagh Ganderbal caught fire on Wednesday night.
The shed was completely gutted in the fire while at least 17 animals including cows and calves were charred to death.
A police official from Lar Police Station said that they have registered a case with FIR number 05/18 under section 436,429 RPC and investigation has been set into motion.
Assistant Executive Engineer, Power Development Department Tulamulla Javaid Ahmed denied that fire was caused due to short circuit.
