Jammu: Sushobha Barve, Executive Secretary, Centre for Dialogue and Reconciliation (CDR), called on Governor N.N. Vohra, at the Raj Bhawan here Thursday.
Barve briefed the Governor about the inter-community dialogues being conducted by the CDR in Jammu and Kashmir for building trust through continuing talks, dialogue and discussions. She also informed the Governor about their ‘Youth Leadership Program’ which was launched to engage youth, particularly of the conflict-affected areas in the state, and inculcate in them leadership qualities for overcoming the challenges to peace and stability in the region.
Governor stressed the need for all possible initiatives being taken for counseling youth to dispel varied influences which thwart their scholastic objectives and come forward to play a positive role in building the future of the state.
