Minister of State for Health & Medical Education, Asiea Naqash Tuesday informed the Legislative Assembly that all 11 sanctioned posts of doctors in the health institutions of Zadibal constituency are filled up and there is no vacancy.
She further informed that in addition to that the Health Department has provided additional 10 posts of doctors under NHM to further augment the health services as per the work load in various institutions of the constituency.
Replying to a question by Abid Hussain Ansari, the Minister said presently there are two road-worthy ambulances available at PHC Zadibal, while another ambulance at Lal Bazaar needs some repair which will be done shortly.
Responding to other part of the main question, the Minister said PHC Zadibal does not qualify for up-gradation to the level of SDH/CHC, which requires 80000 souls, while presently the population of the area is 57823. She further said a proposal for up-gradation of PHC Zadibal as Modal Health Centre (MHC) is under active consideration of the Government.
Mubarak Gul raised a supplementary to the main question and called upon the government to augment the health services in his constituency.
