Zulfkar releases Darhal Constituency Calendar

Jammu: Minister for Food, Civil Supplies, Consumer Affairs and Tribal Affairs Chowdhary Zulfkar Ali  Saturday said that State Government is focusing attention towards development of rural areas and ensure better  facilities  to the people .

The Minister said this while releasing Annual Calendar of Darhal Assembly Constituency in Dak Banglow Rajouri in presence of Deputy Commissioner Rajouri Dr Shahid Iqbal Chowdhary, Director FCS & Ca Jammu Chowdhary Rashid Azam Inqalabi and Controller Legal Metrology Department RK Katoch. The Minister said that government is committed for equitable development of all the regions and rural belts are on the top priority.

“Many rural areas remained neglected in past but present government has opened new era of development in these areas which is testimony of the sincere efforts of government towards providing relief to neglected areas” Zulfkar said.

Terming Budhal Shopian Road as booster for local economy, Minister said that once constructed,  the Road will not only connect two regions but will also boost economy of the area and play a vital role in cultural interaction. He said that the Road is vital for the area and the  Chief Minister  has  taken up the matter with Union Government.

He said  that government is well aware about the problems of the area  and is putting in concerted efforts to address  the public demands  adding that various projects are in pipeline which will be taken up to  improve  the developmental  scenario in the district

While stressing that special attention  needs to be given to the education  sector and motivating the students he informed that  this year   Tablets (Ipads) were provided  to 36 meritorious students on the eve of Republic Day from his CDF .

The Minister said that he has also directed the Social welfare department to identify the specially abled persons   for providing  motorized tricycles out of his CDF .
