Shopian: The explosive substance went off near encounter site at Chaigund village of South Kashmir’s Shopian district resulting in the serious injuries of a minor kid.
Chaigund village witnessed a gunfight between militants and the government forces yesterday that left two militants and a civilian dead.
Reports said that a large number of people visited the encounter site today. Some people were clearing the debris near the gutted house when explosive substance went off. It injured a 10 year old boy whom police identified as Muhammad Musharraf.
He was immediately shifted to Pulwama district hospital where from he was referred to SKIMS Soura in serious condition.
Locals alleged that after the culmination of encounters, government forces do not bother to clear the area. (CNS)
