New Delhi: The bail plea of Syed Shahid Yousuf, son of Hizb chief Salahuddin, was on Tuesday deferred until February 5, family sources said.
They said that the bail plea, which was scheduled on December 19 last year, was listed Tuesday because of “non-availability of the judge”.
“Today again it was deferred till February 5,” said a family member, adding that “the delays were adding to their worries.”
The family members appealed to the government to shift Shahid to a jail in Kashmir. “Travelling to Delhi incurs a lot of expenditure besides time,” they said while appealing to the government to shift Shahid to his home state.
Shahid was arrested last year in an alleged funding case. The NIA has claimed that Shahid has received a total of nearly Rs 4.5 lakh through eight international wire transfers.
