Srinagar: Chairman All Parties Hurriyat Conference, Syed Ali Geelani has strongly condemned the arrest of the resistance leaders Mohammad Yasin Malik, shifting him to Srinagar Central Jail and putting Mirwaiz Umar Farooq and Mohammad Ashraf Sehrai under house arrest.
Terming this as mere frustration of the puppet regime Geelani Sahib said that police as a routine is arresting leaders on mere pretext. He strongly condemned the detention of Hurriyat spokesperson Ghulam Ahmad Gulzar, Bilal Sidiqee and Mohd Ashraf Laya.
It is undemocratic, said Geelani and criticized the issuance of a summon to Dr. Bilqees Shah, the wife of incarcerated senior Hurriyat leader by the Enforce Department (ED) to appear before its head office at Delhi.
The Veteran leader also condemned the unnecessary harassment to families of incarcerated leaders, saying it is sheer political vendetta.
