Team constituted for demarcation of encroached land at Zoonimar, Sadrabal: Hanjura

Jammu: Minister for Agriculture Production, Ghulam Nabi Lone Hanjura Thursday informed the house that a team of officers under the supervision of Assistant Commissioner, Revenue Srinagar has been constituted for on spot demarcation of allegedly encroached land in twin villages of Zoonimar and Sadrabal.
The Minister was replying to a ‘Calling Attention Notice’ moved by MLC Surinder Mohan Ambardar, who drew the attention of the government towards ‘the situation of that has arisen due to the encroachment of 90 kanals of land by land mafia at Bota Bagh, Mugal Mohalla, Lal Bazaar, Srinagar and the action taken in this regard.”
The Minister presented in the House the details of land, names of owners and other details furnished by the team.
The Minister further informed that some ailerons have given power of attorney to local persons for land measuring 50 Kanals, 07 kanals.
“The subject case has been heard by the District Magistrate Srinagar and he has passed an order to constitute a team comprising Tehsildar North and Tehsildar Eidgah to demarcate the land for which attorney holders have been authorized,” he said.
The Minister assured that excess land, if any occupied by the attorney holder shall be evicted, restored and kept under the safe custody by the Tehsildar concerned on behalf of the District Magistrate
