Pulwama: Deputy Commissioner Pulwama, Ghulam Mohammad Dar Thursday flagged-off a team of 27 farmers of the district for an agricultural tour to different states of the country under Agriculture Technology Management Agency (ATMA) scheme.
The tour was organized by Agriculture Department Pulwama with an aim to educate progressive farmers with the new and modern methodologies in the farming sector.
While interacting with the farmers, the DDC emphasized upon the farmers to avail benefits of the program so that the overall production and productivity is enhanced.
He stressed upon the Department of Agriculture to promote such exposure visit so that the farming community of the district is benefitted.
During the tour, farmers will get an opportunity to interact with scientists and will be given a practical demonstration of the latest technology in the field of Agriculture.
Chief Agriculture Officer Pulwama, other concerned officials and a large number of farmers were also present on the occasion.
