Pulwama: Army allegedly resorted to aerial firing after one of its vehicles was stoned by a group of youth in South Kashmir’s Pulwama district.
Reports said that a group of youth targeted an army vehicle near Rajpora Chowk of the district while army responded with aerial firing.
Witnesses said that army fired dozens of rounds in air creating panic in the area.
If witnesses are to be believed, some rounds were fired even by security guard posted at Police Station Pulwama as he allegedly took the aerial shots as an attack on the police station.
The incident disrupted normal life for some time. Shopkeepers lowered their shutters while traffic went off the roads.
