Jammu: An army captain was wounded as the armies of India and Pakistan trade heavy fire along the Line of Control (LoC) in Poonch district of Jammu and Kashmir, a source said Tuesday.
The source in army said that Pakistani army targeted Indian positions along the LoC in Chakan da Bagh area of Poonch from midnight to 6 pm Tuesday.
Indian army, he said, retaliated strongly and effectively.
“Captain Bangoria of Maratha Li was suffered a bullet injury. He was airlifted to Jammu for specialized treatment. His condition is stated to be stable,” he said.
However, there was no immediate confirmation by the officials.
