Srinagar: As per latest directions of All India Football Federation all participating State Association are required to include Minimum (5) U-21 Football players in their squad of 20, & among 5, they have to field 3 compulsorily for each Match.
The JKFA welcomed the direction & has given maximum preference to young footballers of the State. The Selectors of JKFA provided maximum exposure & preference to Youngsters.
The team of 24 players underwent Coaching at Jammu and Selectors picked up best 20 for the JK Team for 72nd Santosh Trophy 2017-18 scheduled to be held at Noida (UP) from 15th to 20th Jan 2018. J&K is bracketed in Pool B with Punjab, Delhi & HP, Matches are 16th, 18th & 20th Jan 2018.
Akif Javed Reshi from Anantnag & Arun Nagial are nominated Captain & Vice-Captain of the J&K Squad respectively. Team left for Noida Saturday.
