Kathua: Additional Deputy Commissioner, Rishpal Singh Tuesday inaugurated a three day long District Level Exhibition-cum-sale of Khadi & Village Industries.
On the occasion, ADC asserted that the sole aim of organizing such exhibitions is to inculcate enterprising temper and encourage creativity among the aspiring entrepreneurs. He called upon the unemployed youths to bestow their attention on skilled entrepreneurs so that zeal of replication nurture in them.
While addressing the gathering, Deputy Chief Executive Officer KVIB Divisional Office Jammu, Santosh Saraf, advised the ITI students to establish their own income generating units according to their skilled development training. He said the Government jobs are very less in number than the unemployed youth in the State. He also advised to work like an ambassador in spreading the message of KVIB to every corner of the District to opt for self employment instead of hankering after government jobs. He thanked District Administration and Bank fraternity for extending all possible cooperation which helped KVIB achieve more than hundred percent of targets before ending third quarter.
Earlier, the District Officer KVIB gave a detailed report of the achievements of last three years.
About 17 stalls were established in the exhibition, of which, fourteen were allotted to the entrepreneurs of KVIB financed under PMEGP scheme and one was allotted to the Handloom department whereas the another to the ITI college, and third one was a theme stall of KVIB, where printing material regarding schemes in vogue was kept for distribution.
DGM NABARD, AD EDI, Superintendent ITI College and representatives from allied departments were present on the occasion.
