New Delhi: There is no presence of Islamic State (ISIS) or Taliban in Kashmir while only 10 militants are affiliated with Zakir Musa-led Ansar Ghazwatul Hind, according to a Home Ministry report.
In a written reply to a question in Rajya Sabha Wednesday, Union Home Minister of State, Hansraj Ahir, said: “As per the report, nothing has been approved on the ground that ISIS is operating in any part of the Kashmir valley.” “However, Ansar Ghazwatul Hind (AGUH) formed and led by Zakir Musa (former Hizbul Mujahedeen militant) has posted adverse material on social media. There are reports that at present, Zakir Musa has support of less than 10 militants. No militant Tanzeem like Taliban is presently operating in any part of the valley”.
