Doda: District Employment & Counselling Centre organized a mega job fair, here Wednesday in which large number of unemployed youth, representatives from various companies and government departments participated.
Senior Superintendent of Police, Mohammad Shabir inaugurated the fair.
The companies like EDU Solution Pvt. Ltd. Airtel communication Ltd., Religare Health Insurance Company, Apollo Medskills, Maruti Udyog Ltd IISD, STC Technologies PVT Ltd, HDFC Bank, Pinnacle A to Z Solution Ltd, Jamkash Vehicleades Ltd. were part of the job fair.
During the fair, on spot interviews were conducted for 300 registered unemployed youth by the participating companies and after due interaction the resume of these candidates was taken up by the companies for job selection. Many candidates were shortlisted and selected in various companies.
Calling the job fair as medium for all stakeholders to interact at a common platform, the Deputy Director Employment, Shayesta Sultana asked the educated unemployed youth to get registered with DECC to avail such opportunities.
Assistant Director Employment Muneeb Umar while speaking on the occasion said the main purpose of the fair is to provide jobs to the unemployed youth of the District in private sector.
Government departments also participated in the fair and established their stalls for general awareness of unemployed youth.
Assistant Commissioner Development, Akhter Hussain, Chief Planning Officer, Youginder Katoch, General Manager DIC, Assistant Labour Commissioner and officers of various departments were also present on the occasion.
