Karvan-e-Aman bus resumes, 72 cross sides

Srinagar: Ten guests from Pakistan-Administered-Kashmir (PaK) arrived here, while 30 Kashmiris crossed over to other side of the Line of Control (LoC) in the Karvan-e-Aman bus, which resumed on Monday after remaining suspended last week, owing to the birth anniversary of Pak founder Mohammad Ali Jinnah.
As many as 32 returnees crossed sides at Kaman Post, the last Indian military post on the LoC in Uri sector. The peace bus left Bemina in Srinagar on Monday morning with 31 passengers, including 26 Kashmiris, who are crossing over to the other side to meet their relatives, separated due to partition in 1947, official sources said.
However, four more Kashmiris joined them before crossing over to PoK, they said. Seven residents of PaK, including three women and a child, who had come here in previous bus, also returned to their homes after completing stay here with their separated family members.
Ten PaK residents, including four women arrived here in the bus, they said, adding that 25 Kashmiris, who had gone to the other side of LoC, also returned to their homes.
