JK Bank Chairman felicitates bank’s sports board, football team

Srinagar: J&K Bank Chairman and CEO Parvez Ahmed today felicitated the bank’s Sports Board along with the members of bank’s senior football team here at the bank’s corporate headquarters.
On the occasion, the sports board led by bank’s Executive President S S Sehgal, who is also chairman of the sports board apprised the Chairman J&K Bank about overall performance and achievements of the team during the current year.
Interacting with the players and board members, Chairman Parvez Ahmed said, “It is a matter of great pride for J&K Bank family that our Football team has performed exceptionally well during this year by winning various tournaments and I hope they will achieve more such feats in future as well.”
“However, you must remain conscious of the fact that our Football Team members are representatives of the bank. Whether, on field or off the field, you should conduct yourselves in such manner that enhances image and reputation of the Bank. You must ensure highest standards of professionalism in the sport”, he added.
The Chairman reiterated his full support to the team and the sports board.
Pertinently during the year, the senior football team of the bank has won prestigious Premier Division Mufti Mohammad Sayed Memorial Football Tournament, Police Martyrs Football Tournament organized by J&K Police Department winning a trophy and Rs 1 lac cash prize.
Kashmir football academy of the bank won Super Division Mufti Mohammad Sayed Memorial Tournament organized by JKFA while as Jammu football academy of the bank won two football events of Vishal Heer Memorial Football Tournament and B Division Football Tournament 2017.
During the meeting the Chairman was also informed that 7 players of the Bank Football team have been shortlisted for selection to National Football Tournament ‘Santosh Trophy’ and senior coach of the team Hilal Rasool has already been selected as coach of J&K State Football Team for the tournament.
