Reasi: District Development Commissioner, Prasana Ramaswamy G Chaired District Level Review Committee (DLRC) meeting of officers and bankers to review performance in deposits and advances at conference hall Friday.
The meeting was attended by ADDC Ramesh Chander, GM DIC Anil Thakur, ALC Amir Chowdhary, E.O. Om Prakash, Representatives of RBI, Lead District Manager, bankers and officers of line department.
It was informed in the meeting that up to Sept 2017, an amount of 1807.03 crore has been recorded in the deposit and 599.49 crore in the advance sector while the CD Ratio of district stands at 33.17%.
Detailed discussion was held on the welfare schemes of government in which loans are provided to the beneficiaries for starting income generating units for earning their livelihood. Emphasis was also laid on early functioning of bank branches at Thuroo, Tuli, Chasote, Budhan, Sarh and other uncovered areas including Kanthan, Thakrakote and Panasa so that people avail the benefit of banks at their door steps.
The DDC directed bankers to provide loans in Agriculture, Education and employment sector so that majority of the population would be facilitated under various schemes besides providing KCC to the farmers.
DDC also asked the bankers to organize maximum camps at remotest places in coordination with social welfare and other departments to make the poor and specially-abled persons aware about all welfare schemes.
