Sopore: The Cordon and Search operation launched by Government Forces in Sopore here in North Kashmir ended on a peaceful note.
Reports Reports said that 22 Rashtriya Rifles of Indian Army and Special Operation Group Sopore had launched a search operation in Bomai and adjoining areas including Goripora after they received inputs about the presence of militants.
Sources that the search operation continued for hours while no contact with militants was established.
Top sources added that militants present in the area managed to escape as soon as siege was laid around the villages.
A police official said that operation concluded peacefully as no militant was found in the area.
