Pulwama/Dec,26: A complete shutdown is being observed in Tral and Pampore areas of south Kashmir’s Pulwama district to mourn the killing of Jaish-e-Muhammad (JeM) commander Noor Muhammad alias Noor Trali.
Reports and witnesses said that all shops and other commercial establishments are closed while traffic is off the roads.
Trali was killed in a gunfight with the government forces in Samboora village of Pulwama district.
Calling his killing a “significant breakthrough”, a police spokesman said that Trali was one of the chief architects of attack on a BSF camp near Srinagar airport earlier this year.
47-year-old Tantray, a resident of Darganie Gund hamlet of Tral, was described as “new security headache” for forces in Kashmir.
