Jammu: Colorful cultural program as part of the Christmas celebrations was Monday organized by Prisons Department in collaboration with Sahyog India at District Jail Ambphalla, here.
The program was attended by Superintendent of District Jail Dinesh Sharma, Founder Sahyog India Ashwani Jojra, senior members of district jail and Sahyog India besides many prominent citizens.
The cultural celebrations features Sarangi Vadan by eminent Sarangi Vadak GL Sharma, a musical program by Academy for Vocational Training Art and Rhythem “AVTAR”, NAT MANCH, Waheed group, Jail inmates and members of Sahyog India.
The prominent who addressed on the occasion are Jail Superintendent Dinesh Sharma, Dr D.R Kapoor, G.R Bhagat, Thakur Jagdev Singh Manhas. The speakers addressed the prisoners on the importance of incorporating ethics of tolerance, social service, patience and scarification in their lives.
The jail inmates enjoyed the cultural program and performed dance with enthusiasm. They also requested for such programs to be organized in future.
