Mehbooba’s challenges in election time

So dearer is her parental family to Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti that she made Farooq Andrabi an elected representative of the Dooru assembly constituency incidentally her maternal uncle a sacrificial lamb for bringing in her cinematographer-turned-politician brother to the legislative council on the controversial nomination quota. Interestingly the ousted minister of state Andrabi has the distinction of wresting Dooru assembly seat from the present state congress president Gh Ahmed Mir after twelve years and he has been now rewarded with unceremonious de-induction from the cabinet to pave way for the induction of Tasaduq Mufti a cinematographer-turned-politician into the cabinet despite the fact that he was not found fit for politics by PDP founder and his father late Mufti Mohammad Sayeed a two time former chief minister during his life time. As such by all standards of standards of political understandabilities, the people of Jammu & Kashmir reserve the right to ask Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti that how come she found her cinematographer brother fit for politics who was found unfit for politics by late Mufti Mohmmad Sayeed himself. Mehbooba not only brought Tasaduq Mufti a non entity into her party and the government but also brought her party virtually under the control of her maternal uncle Sartaj Madni a defeated candidate of 2014 assembly elections by appointing him the party’s vice president. So both induction of Tasaduq Mufti a non entity in state politics into the party and the government and the appointment of Sartaj Madni a defeated candidate of 2014 assembly elections as PDP vice president are two such decisions which themselves are speaking volumes about Mehbooba’s intents of keeping the control of the government and as well as the party with her family.

People are politically conscious enough to understand that Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti has preferred to keep control with herself and the cinematographer brother Tasaduq Mufti and handover the control of the party to her maternal uncle Sartaj Madni the most trusted man among the first relations of Muftis’ and a message goes out that dearest to Chief Minister have got the best slots both in PDP and as well as the government.

The ouster of Farooq Andrabi from the council of ministers also is an indication that Chief Minister did not count even Andrabi her maternal uncle among her die hard loyalists. So the reasons of the sudden ouster of Farooq Andrabi aren’t much complicated to understand and in fact people of Jammu & Kashmir are politically so much conscious that they have understood the intents of the Chief Minister in bringing in her brother and dropping the maternal uncle an elected representative and a man who has worked for the growth of the party from the day PDP was launched to challenge the survival National Conference and Abdullah dynasty the first political family of the post 1947 era in Jammu & Kashmir state .
