Health Deptt suspends registration of 17 Ultrasound Clinics, seals equipment in Jmu

Jammu:Chief Medical Officer Jammu, Friday cancelled registration of 17 Ultrasound Clinics and sealed Ultrasound Machines for not complying with the provision of PC&PNDT Act 2002.

The action was taken after the Department of Health received a Memorandum from National Inspection and Monitoring Committee (NIMC) New Delhi, wherein the Chief Medical Officer was asked to close down Diagnostic Clinics by issuing proper suspension/ cancellation of registration for not complying with the provision of PC&PNDT Act 2002 and Rules framed there under besides sealing of the equipment of all those clinics whose registration has already been suspended/cancelled by the District Appropriate Authority (DAA) under PC&PNDT Act Jammu to ensure that they are not misused.

The  diagnostic centres whose registrations have been cancelled and ultrasound machines sealed are Harleen Diagnostic Centre 32, Rehari Colony, Jammu, Sahara Ultrasound Centre 65-A, Subash Nagar, Jammu, AAS Ultrasound Centre 17-AD, Gandhi Nagar, Jammu, Krishna Ultrasound Centre Maheshpura Chowk, Jammu, Maharishi Dayanand USG Centre B.C. Road, Rehari, Jammu, Shiva Ultrasound Centre Patta Paloura, Jammu,  Kamla Bakshi USG 71/2, Resham Ghar Jammu,  Jammu Health Care USG Centre 1-A, A/C Gandhi Nagar, Jammu, Shree Vaishno Diag. Centre Jain Bazar, Jammu, Neurointervention & Interventional Radiology, Bakshi Nagar, Jammu, Arora Ultrasound Centre Opp. SMGS Hospital, Jammu, Soham Ultrasound Centre Akhnoor, MSD Ultrasound Centre, R.S.Pura,  Helpline Ultrasound Centre, 225, Lower Roop Nagar Jammu,  Choudhary Nursing Home (Ultrasound Centre), Akhnoor, Kotwal Ultrasound Centre Opp. Geeta Mandir, Bakshi Nagar, Jammu and A-One Ultrasound Centre Trikuta Nagar, Jammu.
