Jammu: District Development Commissioner Jammu, Kumar Rajeev Ranjan who is also the Chairman of District Disaster Management Authority (DDMA) Friday chaired a meeting with all the line departments including the officers from Army, Police and civil administration to review Disaster Preparedness Plan, Preparation of SOPs, Action Taken Regarding various directions issued from time to time and discussed the modalities for the procurement of necessary equipments required for the Disaster Management Operations to be done easily and effectively in the district as a whole.
During the meeting all the Officers were directed to furnish the requisite information by or before 23rd of December, 2017. Officers present in the meeting apprised the DDC about the Community Based Disaster Management plan where they revealed that the exercise regarding the identification of Management Committees of Mosques, Gurudwaras, Temples & Churches has already been started.
Among others, Nisha Nathyal, SSP, Traffic, Jammu, Kanta Devi, Additional Deputy Commissioner, Rajesh Sharma, Joint Commissioner, JMC, Kamal Kumar Sharma, District Statistics & Evaluation Officer, SDMs, Tehsildars of Jammu district attended the meeting.
