Jammu: Five labourers were killed and eight injured after an under-construction house collapsed in Reasi district of Jammu and Kashmir on Wednesday.
Quoting official sources said the house collapsed at Nallah Panassa around 7:35 pm. The deceased were identified as Manzoor Ahmed s/o Mohd Shafi, Ashiq Ali s/o Mohd Wazir, Muzafer Ahmad s/o Zakir , Mohd Gafoor s/o Sain and Gulzar Ahmad s/o Salam Din – all residents of Nalla Panasa village.
The injured were shifted to a nearby hospital by a team of police and locals who rushed to the spot immediately after the incident, said the report.
The injured were identified as Sadam s/o Mohd Hussain, Nazir Ahmed s/o Mohd Qasim, Mumtaz Ali s/o Zubair, Mohd Mukhtyar s/o Mohd Ali, Bashir Ahmed s/o Gulam Qadir, Mohd Akram, s/o Zakir Hussain – all residents of Thob. SSP Reasi Tahir Sajad Bhat confirmed the deaths and injuries.
