Srinagar: Police station Beerwah in central Kashmir’s Budgam district was gutted in a fire incident on late Monday night.
Reports said the fire broke out in one of the rooms and soon engulfed the whole structure.
“Prima facie it looks short circuit was the cause of fire,” said a police official adding that a case has been registered and investigation set into motion.
“Six fire tenders were rushed the spot to douse the flames but the building couldn’t be saved,” he added.
