DDC Jmu reviews achievements of various deptts

Jammu: District Development Commissioner, Kumar Rajeev Ranjan convened a meeting to review the physical and financial achievements of various departments including R&B, Power, PHE, RDD,  UEED, Health, Education ,here Monday.

The DC also assessed the progress under various Centrally sponsored schemes, State sector, district sector CAPEX budget and PMDP in the district.

During the meeting, the progress was reviewed regarding the decisions taken in the previous District Development Board meetings. Other important issues like shifting of utilities for construction and upgradation of Ring Road and Jammu Akhnoor Road, drainage and sanitation and other ongoing projects in Health, Education and employment sectors were also deliberated upon.

He asked the concerned to put up the list of the works held  up at various stages so as to resolve them at appropriate level.

DDC took a serious note of low expenditure in respect of Health, Education, PWD, STD sectors and sought explanation from the concerned officers. He emphasized the need to book expenditure upto 70% of the approved allocation ending December, 2017 in view of the circular instructions issued by the Finance Department as only 30% of the allocation will be available for its utilization during the last quarter of the current financial year 2017-18.

During the meeting, District Development Commissioner stressed upon the inter departmental coordination in implementation of schemes and achieving the assigned targets. He exhorted upon the officers to strive hard and make every effort for ensuring the development of the district.

Among others, SE PHE Urban Circle Jammu ,Ajay Singh Wazir, SE PHE (Mech.) Rural Circle Jammu, Fareed Ahmed Choudary, SE  PWD(R&B) Jammu, Desh Raj, SE EM&RE, CEO Jammu ,JK Sudan, CMO Jammu, Dr. Sanjay Turki, Chief Agriculture officer, representatives of JDA, JMC, UEED, JKPCC, ERA, PMGSY besides senior officers from concerned department were present on the occasion.
