Srinagar: The traffic movement on Srinagar-Jammu highway was halted briefly on Friday after Muslims staged a protest against the US move to declare Jerusalem as the capital of Israel.
Hundreds of people assembled in front of Central Jamia masjid Banihal, located along the highway, after congregational weekly prayers and protested against the US move.
The protesters raised anti-US, anti-Israel and pro-Palestine slogans during the protest.
They also burnt an effigy of the US president Donald Trump.
The US move on Jerusalem was widely condemned across the world.
