Pulwama/Dec,17:Burglars struck a residential house at Amlar hamlet of Tral township in south Kashmir’s Pulwama district on Friday and decamped with cash and gold worth lakhs of rupees.
Reports said that burglars entered into the house of Ali Mohammad Malik, son of Abdul Samad Malik of Amlar in Tral.
The incident happened on Friday afternoon when none of the family members were present in the house.
“The burglars have stolen cash and gold worth nearly Rs 50 lakh. I have submitted a complaint in police station Awantipora in this regard.” said the house owner Ali Mohammad.
Meanwhile, a police official said that a case has been registered and investigations have been taken up. A team of police officials inspected the site and collected evidence of the incident.
Locals appealed to the concerned superintendent of police Mohammad Zahid Malik to personally look into the matter to nab the culprits.
