Omar lashes out at Modi for his ‘choose between Ram mandir, Babri masjid comment’

Srinagar: Lashing out at Prime Minister Narendra Modi for reportedly asked Congress to choose between Ram mandir and Babri masjid, former Jammu and Kashmir chief minister Omar Abdullah said if ‘he had found the Vikas fellow he sold to the nation in 2014, he wouldn’t need to ask anyone this question’.
“Sir if you had found that Vikas fellow you sold to the nation in 2014 you wouldn’t need to ask anyone this question,” Mr Abdullah, who is the working president of National Conference (NC), wrote on micro-blogging site twitter.
PM Modi during a rally at Bhabhar in Banaskantha in Gujarat on Friday had reportedly asked Congress to choose between Ram mandir and Babri masjid and also explain why the party was linking hearings in the Ram Janmabhoomi case with the 2019 Lok Sabha polls.
Mr Abdullah also upped the ante at Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), an alliance partner of BJP in J&K government, asking Chief Minister Mehbooba and her party to answer this question. “Dear @MehboobaMufti/@jkpdp would you like to answer this question please? I for one would be very interested in the answer,” he tweeted.
Meanwhile, reacting to a tweet which alleged that Gujarat Assembly election was ‘fixed’, Mr Abdullah said, “So Gujarat 2017 is a repeat of J&K between ‘53 & ‘75? That’s extremely reassuring. Thanks for clarifying that.”
He further hoped the Election Commission can step up and address the questions that are being asked of it about the trustworthiness of voting machines.
“I’ve been extremely skeptical of EVM related conspiracy theories but I’m beginning to question my unwavering faith in the machines and their infallibility,” the NC working president said.
He further said that the 24-year-old Hardik Patel is challenging PM Modi in his own state.
