Srinagar: A National Lok Adalat was held Saturday in the premises of District Consumer Protection Forum in Srinagar during which nine cases were settled amicably.
The proceedings of the Lok Adalat were conducted by President, District Consumer Protection Forum, Srinagar, Mohammad Ashraf Malik which was organized by District Legal Services Authority, Srinagar.
During the Lok Adalat, 30 cases pending in the District Consumer Protection Forum were taken up for hearing and a sum of Rs 328100 was awarded as compensation in favour of the complainants.
