Srinagar: The Department of Agriculture, Kashmir Saturday organized a function here to mark the ‘International Anti-Corruption Day’.
Director Agriculture Kashmir, Syed Altaf Aijaz Andrabi Saturday inaugurated a training program on the implementation of Public Finance Management System (PFMS)/ Centralization Personal Information System (CPIS) here at Agriculture Complex Lalmandi Srinagar as a part of ensuring greater transparency in the working of the Department.
The training program was attended by all the DDOs and dealing assistants of the Agriculture Department. The main purpose of conducting this training program was to achieve smooth functioning and implementation of Public Finance Management System and to complete the database information of the employees.
The Director Agriculture said the system will prove a game changer in strengthening transparency and accountability at all levels of administration in the Department. He said it would provide administration real-time information on resource availability and utilization across schemes.
He said main aim of Public Finance Management System is to track fund flow to and within the department on real-time bases and facilitating direct payment to beneficiaries.
PFMS is a web-based online system for fund management and e-payments and it provides a financial platform for all the schemes implemented by the Department.
