Srinagar/Dec,9: Massive fire engulfed at least three commercial structures in Bagh-e-Mehtab locality on the outskirts of Srinagar early today.
Eye witnesses said that the fire broke out in one structure at 11 am and soon spread to other two structures within no time.
They said the structures house shops, which suffered damages to the tune of around Rs one crore.
Officials said around eight fire tenders were pressed into service to put off the fire, the cause of which was not known immediately.
It took around two hours to control the fire after hectic efforts of the Fire and Emergency Services staff, they added.
