Srinagar: Chief Secretary, B B Vyas Thursday chaired the 5th Apex Committee meeting here to review the progress of Udhampur-Srinagar-Baramulla Rail Link (USBRL) Project.
Commissioner Secretary, Revenue, Divisional Commissioner, Jammu, Chief Administrative Officer (CAO), USBRL Project and other senior officers of the State Government and Railway authorities were present in the meeting. Divisional Commissioner, Kashmir, participated in the meeting via video conferencing.
The progress in regard to land acquisition in the Katra-Banihal Rail line and 132 KV Transmission Line from Katra to Reasi, Ramban to Sangaldan and Budgam GSS to Budgam Railway Traction Sub-Station was reviewed in the meeting. Chief Secretary noted with satisfaction the progress achieved in the expeditious resolution of all the bottlenecks.
Chief Administrative Officer (CAO), USBRL Project briefed the Committee on the progress of work on the Chenab Bridge and Katra- Banihal and Banihal-Qazigund sections.
