Sopore: President “Jammu Kashmir Bachao Tehreek” and Former Minister Abdul Gani Vakil Tuesday said dynasty politics propagated and promoted by National Conference and PDP is the mother of all ills including unprecedented delay in resolution of Kashmir issue, erosion of State autonomy and political exploitation on “Self Rule and Autonomy” slogan. Addressing one day convention of :Jammu Kashmir Bachao Tehreek” at Sopore Tuesday Vakil dared Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti to break her silence on her party’s demand for “Self Rule” and “demilitarization” and asked her to stop political exploitation of people by talking about Confidence Building Measures (CBM’s). Asking Mehbooba Mufti that how she can get her party’s demand for “Self Rule” conceded when her party has failed to get even a single power project from the Centre, Vakil regretted that Mehbooba Mufti could not get even pellet guns banned by the central government run by BJP at the Centre.
Launching a scathing attack on National Conference President and Former Chief Minister Farooq Abdullah Vakil asked Abdullah to explain why he is crying over autonomy this time when National Conference is out of power and why he does not talk about late Sheikh Abdullah’s statement in the assembly in which he said “Article 370 is not sacrosanct, and it can be scrapped”. Vakil asked Farooq Abdullah to recall and recount the role of his father in passed the land grants bill. Vakil alleged that National Conference is the architect of Public Safety Act (PSA) under which even innocents are jailed for years together without trial.
Reacting on the appointment of Mehbooba Mufi as PDP president Mr. Vakil said it was better for PDP to appoint Mehbooba Mufti as party president for life time and same should have been done by NC as well as it has been seen all along that there is no chance to any leader outside Abdullah’s and Mufti’s family to take over as president of their parties even if he is capable and embodiment of sacrifice. Vakil asked what is the fault of Muzzafar Hussain Beigh, Mohammad Shafi Uri and Late Ghulam Nabi Kochak even senior most leaders in their respective parties could not get a chance to achieve the top post of the party. Dynasty rule is the second name of dictatorship lets all be united to put an end to family rule because of which genuine and capable leadership in this rule gets pushed back due to lack of democracy. Vakil added
Mr. Vakil also said he was not surprised over Omar Abdullah congratulating Mehbooba mufti to become president as there has been all along commonality of National Conference and PDP to strengthen dynasty politics and to safe guard each others, interests especially on corruption.
Addressing the gathering General Secretary Jammu Kashmir Bachao Tehreek Syed Tehreek and Ex.MLC Syed Rafiq Shah he alleged that present dispensation has failed on all fronts as they cannot provide even basic necessities to the people like water electricity. He said corruption is rampant in present dispensation and administration defunct and government is watching like a mere spectator as they are busy in doing politics.
Addressing the gathering Youth Secretary Jammu Kashmir Bachao Tehreek Mr. Rizwan Illahi said that it is the ruling PDP and opposition NC who s responsible for erosion of Article 370 and now shedding crocodile tears. Article 370 has proved a vital bridge between India and J&K. Mr. Illahi said Jammu Kashmir Bachao Tehreek is Vowed to fight against those forces who are bent upon eroding article 370
Besides others who addressed the gathering include Secretary Jammu Kashmir Bachao Tehreek Advocate Syed Gowhar, Moulvi Zahoor Ahmad District President Srinagar Haji Mohammad Afzal Khan, Ghulam Ahmad Shagoo and several others
