Dir Agri(K) for judicious utilization of funds

Srinagar: Director Agriculture Kashmir, Syed Altaf Aijaz Andrabi Wednesday directed all the administrative officers to ensure that the budgetary allocations to their respective districts under different programs and projects are fully utilised by the end of current fiscal.
Chairing the meeting, the Director, directed the concerned officers to reflect the needs of their districts in the coming budgetary meetings and ensure that funds allocated to them are utilised to full by the end of the current financial year. He also asked them to see to it that ongoing schemes and projects are closed at the earliest to avoid cost and time overrun.
The Director asked the officers to keep the track of projects under different schemes and make it a point that these are executed as per the timeline already decided, and in no case be allowed to overrun. He asked them to take periodic reviews in their districts so that the completion timeline is met with.
The Director called upon officers to undertake periodic visits to concerned areas to personally acquaint themselves with the developmental pace and need of the farmers.
He also asked officers to monitor closely the process of digitisation of their records and directed monitoring mechanism to oversee proper implementation of different schemes and expenditures made on them.
Director Rakhs& Farms Abdul Raheem Samoon, Joint Director Extension Sonaullah Mir, Joint Director Inputs, Sajad Ahmad Shah, Mushroom Coordinator, Abdul Qayum Shah, Dy. Director (M&E) Karishma Qudrat, Chief Agriculture Officers, District Agriculture Officers and other officers of the department, attended the meeting.
