Ansari visits Hawal fire victims

Srinagar: Minister for Information Technology, Technical Education and Youth Services & Sports, Imran Raza Ansari Wednesday visited the victims of the devastating fire at Sheikh Mohalla, SangeenDarwaza, Hawal and expressed his heartfelt solidarity with them.

He assured the affected families that he would leave no stone unturned in ensuring they get adequate compensation enabling them to recuperate from this tragedy.

The Minister was informed that three months ration, blankets, medicines, wood, oil and other essential commodities were already distributed to every family.

For immediate compensation to the affected families, Minister on spot directed Divisional Commissioner Kashmir to ensure speedy relief and rehabilitation to the victim families.

Ansari also directed the concerned Tehsildar to complete the assessment immediately so that Rs 1, 40,000 cash compensation will be distributed to the affected families within three days.

The Minister assured to discuss options for providing restructure the housing loans with Chairman J&K Bank limited to fire victims of the Sheikh Mohalla, SangeenDarwaza, Hawal.

On the occasion, MLA ZadibalAabid Hussain Ansari provided Rs 65,000 among some victim families to the fire victims of Sheikh Mohalla, SangeenDarwaza, and Hawal.

He said the necessary directions were conveyed the urgency of the matter to senior officials in the District and State Administration and implored them to do whatever is necessary for ensuring speedy and dignified rehabilitation and compensation to these fire victims in these winter season.

Divisional Commissioner Kashmir Baseer Ahmad Khan, Additional Commissioner Kashmir, Concerned Tehsildar & Patwari and other concerned officers were accompanied by the Minister.
