Kathua: District Development Commissioner, Kathua, Rohit Khajuria Monday reviewed the progress of development works taken up under Member Parliament Local Area Development Scheme (MPLAD).
During the meeting the DDC was apprised about the physical and financial progress of various approved works under MPLAD. The DC expressed his concern over the slow progress of works initiated by various departments and further stressed the need to speed up the pace to complete all the works within the stipulated time frame.
He further gave instructions to all the departments to efficiently utilize the funds for creation of durable assets. He stressed that all the departments should work in a coordinated manner to enhance their productivity so that the benefit of these works percolate down to the grass root level.
While taking detailed review of department wise physical and financial achievements under MPLAD, DDC stressed on concerned officers to ensure judicious utilization of funds under MPLAD schemes besides proper monitoring of all development works for better outcome. He also called for timely submission of utilization certificates and photographs of executed works by the departments.
Emphasizing need of concerted efforts on part of concerned officers, DDC said the progress of development works should not be hampered due to lack of coordination at any level.
