Srinagar: Provident Fund subscribers are facing tough time in getting their PF claims settled as the strike called by employees of Provident Fund Organisation enters 12th day on Friday.
The employees of JKEPFO are on indefinite strike from Nov 21 last month against what they termed the ‘callous treatment’ of the authorities for not fulfilling the genuine demands of the employees of the organisation.
“There are various posts lying vacant in our organisation since 2014. Our demand is to get those posts filled immediately as due to this the employees are suffering badly and compelled to raise the voice against the discrimination which is a wall between the future of the employees,”  Nusrat Fatima, Vice-President, J&K Employees Provident Fund Staff Welfare Association said.
“Our last DPC was conducted in Mar 2017 in which only two employees were promoted,” she said.
On November 24, a delegation of JKEPFO under the chairmanship of Nusrat Fatima, Vice-President of the union also met Commissioner Secretary Labour and Employment at Banquet Hall. “We served a representation to him in which we have also mentioned that out DPC was conducted in Mar 2017.”
Our demand is that the posts lying vacant in the organisation should get fulfilled at an earliest, the employees said.
