Pulwama: District Development Commissioner Pulwama, Ghulam Mohammad Dar Thursday distributed 19 milch cows among beneficiaries at a function organized by Animal Husbandry Department here.
The cows provided on subsidy were distributed among the beneficiaries of Gulshanpora and Karmulla of Tral area, which have been selected as Model Village under Special Central Assistance (SCA) to Tribal Sub Plan (TSP).
Chief Animal Husbandry Officer briefed the DDC about the various steps being taken for the development of the Tribal community in the district by the Department. Further, it was said that total 60 cows will be distributed among the beneficiaries under SCA to TSP.
Impressing upon officers to ensure basic facilities to the tribal people, the DDC asked the concerned to conduct awareness camps in the district so that people are made aware about the developmental and welfare schemes launched by Department and implementation of these schemes be taken as per requirements of the people.
Among others, present on the occasion were Chief Animal Husbandry Officer, District Information Officer Pulwama, Block Veterinary Officers and other concerned.
