Srinagar: A special career counselling programme was organized in collaboration with HELP Foundation by Government Girl’s Model Higher Secondary School Nowhatta.
Joint Director Elementary Education, Suraya Akhter, Joint Director South Abid Hussain, Principal SIE, Mehboob Hussain, CEO Srinagar, Farooq Ahmad Dar, OSD Cultural Wing Ghulam Nabi Shakir, experts from University of Kashmir and chairperson HELP foundation Nighat Pandit were present on the occasion. Besides, Principals of various intuitions, Zonal Education Officers of Srinagar district, members of civil society also participated in the programme.
While speaking on the occasion, the Joint Director South said that in a globalised world there are endless opportunities for the students and right career counselling shall help them to choose the best career options.
On this occasion the chairperson, HELP foundation said that their organization is always ready to offer the help to the students regarding expert career counselling and guidance.
An amount of Rs 1.20 lakh in cash was distributed among the economically weak students. The amount was voluntarily contributed by the staff members of Higher Secondary School Nowhatta. The officers of the directorate highly praised the staff for such philanthropic step with the hope that others shall also follow it.
Meritorious students were also given certificates of appreciation and also sewing machines were distributed among the selected students.
