Delhi’s dialogue process a non-serious effort: JRL

Srinagar: The Joint Resistance Leaders (JRL) Wednesday said that New Delhi was never serious in dialogue and the recent initiative is another non-serious effort.
The JRL leaders Syed Ali Geelani, Yasin Malik and Mirwaiz Umar Farooq who head Hurriyat (G), JKLF and Hurriyat (M) respectively were speaking at Seerat Conference organised by Tehreek-e-Hurriyat at its Hyderpora office.
In his speech, Geelani while talking about the ongoing freedom struggle said they would never achieve freedom until they put themselves into Islamic fabric.
Giving background of the ongoing struggle, Geelani said, “Our people in jails are thrashed and brutally assaulted. It is the time to act against such barbarity which has now crossed its limits,” he said.
“Every story has a similar story to tell wherever Kashmiri prisoners are imprisoned. We need to raise our voice against this brutality,” he said.
In his speech, Mirwaiz said some hands are working to further divide Kashmiris in the name of sects, region and religion.
Mirwaiz said the global Islamic leadership has failed to resolve the issues of Muslim countries and the situation of Iraq, Syria, Palestine and other nations is before them. “We should not blame the western powers for making conspiracies. They will do it. We need to look at ourselves what we are doing to defeat their designs,” he said.
He said the leadership has so far failed to come out with the solution the Muslims are facing globally.
“Our moulvis are busy in accusations and counter accusations,” he said.
JKLF chief Yasin Malik said the Government of India has started Operation All Out, which is not only against our militants who are fighting on the ground, but New Delhi has used NIA as a tool to start Operation All Out against pro-freedom leaders.
“All these tactics by NIA are to make us surrender. But we have taken a pledge that we will fight till the last drop of our blood,” he said.
Terming unity a strong weapon to face the present onslaught of New Delhi, Malik said Prophet (SAW) was the charismatic leader who changed the whole world. “We need to follow his path and forge unity to achieve success,” he added. (KNS)
