Srinagar: Three persons were killed in a road in Wanpora area of Gurez in north Kashmir’s Bandipora district Wednesday afternoon. Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti, Works Minister Naeem Akhter and Deputy Speaker Nazir Ahmed Khan Gurezi have in their separate statements condoled the deaths.
An officials said that three persons were killed while another was injured after a sumo they were travelling in skidded off the road near Wanpora.
He identified the deceased as Sajad Ahmad Magrey, driver of the vehicle, Hafizullah Samoon-both residents of Gurez and Santosh Kumar resident of Jammu.
“The injured was identified as Showkat Ahmad Mir son of Muhammad Ayub Mir a resident of Soibugh, Budgam,” he said. Santosh and Hafizullah were working in power development department in Gurez.
Condoling the deaths Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti conveyed her heartfelt sympathies to the bereaved families and prayed for eternal peace to the departed souls. Mehbooba Mufti has urged the Traffic and Police authorities to ensure effective regulation of traffic on the hilly roads of the State to prevent such mishaps in the future.

Deputy Speaker, Nazir Ahmed Gurezi has also expressed shock and grief over loss of three precious lives in a road mishap at Wanpura, Gurez in Bandipora District of Kashmir.
As per reports a vehicle rolled down into a gorge resulting into the death of three employees of the Power Development Department (PDD).
The Deputy Speaker expressed heartfelt condolence to the bereaved families and prayed for eternal peace to the deceased. He urged to the district administration to extend every help to the families in this hour of grief.
He also asked the traffic and police authorities to ensure effective regulation of traffic on the hilly road to prevent such mishaps in the future. \
